January: I Want List

I've put a self-imposed spending ban on unnecessary items for the next few months. Could you almost call it a spending diet.

This doesn't take away the urge to window shop.

So far Winter hasn't really hit here in the East Riding, and it is still positively mild. I was still walking to work without a coat right up until Christmas it has been that unseasonal. With this in mind my eye is looking to Spring-like items.

From Yours Clothing

How gorgeous is this Navy and White Block Stripe Skater Dress from Yours Clothing? It is coming soon, and at £35 I wouldn't want to miss it. There is a keyhole neckline to break the eye up, but without showing too much cleavage. I'd even be tempted to give this a go in the office, or for an event, Christening or Wedding perhaps. Add a pair of red heels and a clutch. Jobs a good un.

Then I'm also thinking of some casual wear. I'm drawn to vest tops and indigo jeans with a plethora of scarfs.

Lately there have been some fabulous options on cherrydiva.com. Keep an eye out as their stock sells out fast, but equally quickly new items also arrive.

I already have this number.

I just need to find a non-greying white vest to wear it with!

This Gothic Skull Scarf is also rather eye-catching at £13

Now all I have to do is avoid the shops... and unlink my cards from paypal.

Autumn: I Want List: Yours Clothing

Now the weather is changing and the prospect of Christmas parties and the month-long dress down period in the office is beckoning I've been making my way through the New In page on Yours Clothing.

Here are my favourites in no particular order.

Black Sweat Top With Mixed Yarn Panels And Zip Pockets. I'm liking the idea of this with either a pair of wooly leggings or my overdyed black bootcut high-waisted jeans. A possible Mummy staple with an office side line. £25

This Black & Purple Rose Print Skater Midi Dress With Patent Belt looks like it could be a multi-functional item. I'm seeing parties, and I'm also seeing office wear, even the odd coffee shop trip. I'm also drawn to the fact that it's a midi dress. Rare with the skater styles, I'm hoping that this means with my height it will lead to a decent length, rather than the indecent skirts that I usually end up with. £25

Another jumper that could end up in my collection, but which one the grey or the raspberry? They are both so nice and equally suitable for work, mummy duties and general wear. The decisions. I wouldn't be upset if either of them landed on my doormat. £28

A Christmas party worthy dress now. Oh my, the places I could wear this. I'm popped it in my basket a couple of times now. I love a good swing dress. I do fear that this could be one of those risqué dresses length wise. I dream of a time when swing dresses and skater skirts routinely come in more than one length like trousers and jeans have finally started to. I'm imagining sparkly shoes and a large clutch with this beauty. £26

I have only recently discovered the greatness that is the onesie. I can't believe that it took me so long. I've only got one, and sadly it is a summer weight affair and has now been on numerous cub camps. This festive number is a cosy-looking fleece with a hint of reindeer. Obviously, when I say hint I mean it has been bashed with the Christmas stick while tumbling down a tinsel strewn Christmas tree. £25

This shirt is shouting at my inner cowgirl/lumberjack. I can see me dressing it up a little with my black suit for the office, or even with a skater skirt and a black v-neck jumper. I can also see me wearing it on a weekend with a pair of thick leggings and my converse or with my high waisted jeans or under a black dress. £20

My final pick for today is another onesie. Even more festive that the one before, if only for the gingerbread girls and bright red fabric. The fabric has been described as super soft and cosy. Mmm. How good does that sound for a duvet day, snuggled up with a Christmas film and a cinnamon scented hot chocolate or chai latte? £25

My I Want List: October

As many of you will know I'm a bit of a Twitter lurker.

I have a few accounts, however my main one is @whatbeebeedid.

Over the last couple of weeks @cherrydivastore has come to my attention.

Cherry Diva

They have got some of the most amazing accessories I have seen in a long time. Pretty much all of them have set my heart a flutter in a fit of the I must haves.

This weekend alone these two beauties caught my eye...

black bobble hat

This Mickey Mouse bobble hat has me catching my breath. I mean how fabulous is this. It makes me sad to have such a stupidly large amount of hair and stunningly large circumference for hats.

Black Mittens

And how gorgeous are these mittens. They would keep your fingers toasty warm on the school run, and part of me hopes that I spy a cord that will attach them through your sleeves.

bobble hat

This hat isn't my colour at all, but the shape and the style makes me thing of it being a giant cupcake with a cherry on top. That can't be bad at all now can it?

Cherry Diva also carry jewellery

These earrings are so shiny they peaked my interest

And then there are the socks... I seriously lost my beans when I saw these.

Where I've Been... Saltmarshe Hall Handmade Fair

Through my lovely friend Emma from Lemonade Sundays I was invited to attend a handmade fair held in a beautiful country house in the East Riding, on the bank of the River Ouse.

What a gorgeous place to spend a leisurely Saturday morning. The Grade II listed Regency house has remained in the same family for over 900 years and has been described as one of Yorkshire's best-kept secrets, and I can see why.

The rooms are tall, spacious and airy. Decorated in keeping with the style of the period.  The large windows let the sunlight just pour in, the amazing chandelier in the morning room glints as the light catches each facet.

I walked into the hall to be met with a gorgeous lemon cupcake, just what my morning called for.

In the first room were a number of tables, the one that first caught my eye was bchicy. A wonderful mix of kitsch, shabby chic gifts and home accessories.

There was also a jewellery stall, Just Gems. Their stock comprised mainly of classically set stones that you get from homemade jewellery.

Their products are well executed, just not up my street. I have seen lots of this style of jewellery and I like something a bit more original and quirky.

In the next room, was two more jewellery stalls and two handmade gift stalls. My favourite of which was Slights Crafts made by Gill Shaw.

A shabby chic mix of classic knitted finger puppets (some more contemporary than others - the jungle creatures were amazing), hanging signs and cards.

Then last, but not least, there was the brightly lit breakfast room. Wow. They seriously saved the best until last. In here were another three crafty stalls.

Sue at Spotty Dotty Crafts fashions amazing memory pillows and stuffed animals from your little one's baby clothes, as well as other bespoke gifts with a personal touch. A lovely lady and I look forward to getting some bits and bobs from her in the future.

Helen's Homemade Home stall stole my heart. From the myriad of stuffed owls and cushions to the make your own cake plates and diy craft kits (keep your eyes open as I bought one of the owl kits).

The there is Lemonade Sundays, recently nominated for a Mumpreneur UK award, Emma makes bespoke jewellery from buttons of many colours. I currently have my eye on this brooch, and it is firmly on the I Want List.

Lemonade Sundays also ran a bracelet making workshop. A chance to make your own personalised button bracelet. More coming on that too soon. Don't forget when the What BeeBee Did... page finally reaches 100 likes I am giving away one of Lemonade Sundays' fabulous bracelets.

This craft fair was put together by Gemma at Glossy Communications. I know I'm looking forward to hearing more about the vintage fair mentioned on her blog.

May your day Glitter & Sparkle!

April: I Want List

I have a habit of window shopping on the internet.

Unlike regular window shopping it is lsightlly more dangerous due to the additoin of clicking and paypal. Just look at my ebay habit if you need any extra evidence.

I am trying really hard to curb my clothes addiction/spending and get more things sorted around the house.

I've not actually decorated since the kids were really small, some rooms will have been even longer.

So here I've compiled some of the bits I want for the house, and just in general.

I want them... this doesn't necessarily mean I will get them, but I'd like to (and I accept gifts. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink),
